Hello, I’m Anita Anish, an elementary teacher for 10 years and now as a special educator.
Having not run for decades, the confidence to run was at rock bottom. The various organised run which took place in Chennai was what made me too want to run. From taking baby steps (running from one electric pole to another and walk to the next one) to being able to run a few kilometres, I have come a long way. All this was enabled only by the continuous guidance and encouragement given by Viji Swaminathan.
UNIS Running to me is:
Running with TEAM UNIS is very dear to heart because of few reasons that I can pen down:
1. Like minded friends who love to talk, laugh and want to remain fit by doing their bit early in the morning.
2. You will always have someone to provide constant encouragement and give you company when you are not in your best days.
3. No one competes with the other but with himself/herself.
Running and Fitness to me is:
A regular fitness regime is necessary to avoid health issues in the long run. Running enables, me to do a whole-body workout by being one with nature and get my thoughts organised for the day ahead.
