Inner Strength half Marathon is conducted to aid children with Cerebral palsy.
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood. Signs and symptoms vary among people and over time. Often, symptoms include poor coordination, stiff muscles, weak muscles, and tremors. There may be problems with sensation, vision, hearing, swallowing, and speaking.
Many children who are affected by the same aren’t able to afford the treatment for the same as it has to be lifelong and everyday in many cases.
UNIS Running group through its event has helped plus children almost 15 “My First Steps” a pediatric physiotherapy clinic and also helped the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) with procuring Technological equipments for assisting children with these special needs.
The above has been done with the funds collected through the Inner Strength Half Marathon events via the Inner Strength Trust, which is 80G compliant.
